8. Account & Data Deletion

How to Request Deletion

Users of the House of Diaspora app may request the deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time by following these steps:

1. Send an email to info@hodiaspora.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
2. Include the email address registered to your House of Diaspora account so we can verify your identity.
3. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.

Data Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete:

• Your account profile (name, email address, phone number)
• All project details, documents, and photos you uploaded
• In-app messages and support communications
• Device tokens and push notification preferences

Data Retained

Certain data may be retained after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Financial records — transaction history and invoices are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
• Legal holds — data subject to an active legal dispute or regulatory investigation will be retained until the matter is resolved.
• Anonymised analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
